“Stage Door Academy is dedicated to offering all students a well-rounded Performing Arts Education. Our programs provide exceptional technique and disciplined training whilst ensuring the well-being needs of young people are developed in a supportive and nurturing environment.”

OUR BELIEFS

We are absolutely passionate about teaching Performing Arts and have a strong belief in the importance of quality Dance Education.

Our director, Nicole Everett, has a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and a Bachelor of Education ensuring our teaching methodology is firmly based in pedagogy, dance history and most importantly safe dance and anatomy.

This ensures that our students receive correct technical development and that injury prevention and safe dance is paramount.

We firmly believe:

That Performing Arts is for everyone.

That ‘Safe Dance’ is paramount to teaching young people

That excellent technical skills and discipline can co-exist with a nurturing, supportive and caring teaching environment.

That knowledge of stagecraft such as lighting, sound, costume and set design is essential in creating a ‘well rounded’ performer.
